Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email, and (for authors) a pen name, bio, genre, and profile picture. We also store your country to determine your local currency and payment options.
Payment information
BookVora never stores your card details. All payments are processed by Paystack, a licensed payment processor, under their own security and privacy standards.
Reading activity
We track your reading progress on purchased books so you can pick up where you left off, and so book club members you share a club with can see your progress on books your club has picked together. Reading activity on books outside a shared club pick is never shown to anyone else.
Book protection
To protect authors' work, purchased books are watermarked with your account email when read in our browser-based reader. This is solely for deterring unauthorized redistribution and is not shared with anyone outside BookVora.
Who we share data with
We share the minimum necessary information with Paystack to process payments, and with authors' payout providers for payouts. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Your choices
You can update your profile information, change your country/currency, or delete your account at any time from your account settings.
