1. Using BookVora
BookVora is a marketplace connecting independent authors with readers. By creating an account, you agree to use the platform honestly — no fraudulent purchases, no uploading content you don't have the rights to, and no attempting to circumvent the protections on purchased books.
2. Author content
Authors retain ownership of the books they upload. By publishing on BookVora, an author grants readers who purchase their book a personal, non-transferable license to read it through our platform. Authors are responsible for ensuring they hold the rights to any content they upload.
3. Purchases and payouts
All payments are processed securely through Paystack. Authors are paid out to the bank details they provide in their account settings, on a schedule communicated separately. BookVora is not responsible for payments sent to incorrect account details supplied by the author.
4. Book clubs
Book club owners are responsible for the conduct of their club. BookVora may remove clubs or members that violate these terms, including spam, harassment, or misuse of club-exclusive discounts.
5. Account termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including repeated reported violations, fraudulent activity, or attempts to extract or redistribute purchased book content.
6. Changes
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of BookVora after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
